Duncan Stovell – Chief Operating Officer
Duncan joined Hydrexia in January of 2014. Duncan has responsibility for Hydrexia’s operations, including product commercialisation, product management, supply chain and manufacturing, program management, R&D, ICT, HR and facilities.
Duncan brings a wealth of operations, product commercialisation and customer support experience from senior international business and technical leadership roles in mining, defence and communications industries. He has served as General Manager of Electronic Safety in Australia for Strata Worldwide LLC, and was responsible for the sale and support of proximity detection/collision avoidance systems and underground asset tracking and communication systems to customers in Australia and Papua New Guinea. Previous to this Duncan held General Manager roles for GroundProbe Pty Ltd, leading the establishment and roll-out of product management and operational excellence functions across each geographic business unit, while delivering significant improvements in customer focus and product performance.
Duncan is a registered Chartered Engineer with the UK Engineering Council and holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Queensland, a Master of Science degree in Defence Communications Engineering from Lancaster University, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics from Loughborough University.
Ian Williamson – Commercial Director
Ian Williamson joined Hydrexia in April 2015. Ian’s role is to open global markets for Hydrexia’s products through his extensive network of contacts.
Before joining Hydrexia, Ian was CEO of the British fuel cell company AFC Energy PLC, where he was responsible for leading the company’s commercialization of its alkaline fuel cell product. He personally led commercial activities, positioning the company to attain multiple orders from the Far East for its grid connected power system, and fund raising, with £15 million being raised in two rounds. Prior to AFC Energy, Ian had enjoyed a long career with Air Products and Chemicals, the industrial gas giant. During his 27 year long tenure, Ian gained extensive commercial experience of most of the company’s industrial gas businesses. Most recently, he was responsible for the industrial hydrogen business within Europe, the Hydrogen Energy Systems group for Europe, ME and Africa and finally the Bio Energy Systems group which obtained approval for the first large scale plasma assisted gasification plant for diverted landfill waste in the world. This £300 million investment will be on-stream in 2015.
Ian holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Science from the University of Lancaster.
