Hydrexia reducing product cost through novel materials

16 March 2015: The successful operation of a solid state hydrogen storage system this month marks a significant milestone in Hydrexia’s commercialisation activities.

The proprietary magnesium alloy used within this system was the first to be sourced through Hydrexia’s newly established low-cost magnesium alloy supply chain, likely the lowest cost magnesium hydride available.

Working in partnership with a foundry in China to manufacture the magnesium alloy, together with the development of custom material processing equipment, has proved that low cost magnesium hydride with excellent hydrogen storage properties is now a reality.
